A retail experience for the launch of Untamed Nature in Japan
UX/UI design and development, using Amplify, for an iPad application and a wall-projection system installed in Boucheron’s Japanese boutique.
Untamed Nature is Boucheron’s 2025 Histoire de Style collection, unveiled on April 26: 28 creations in white gold, adorned with diamonds, mother-of-pearl, rock crystal, onyx, and black lacquer. A collection meant to be viewed up close.
The role of the screen: a high-jewellery piece does not reveal on its own how many hours went into creating it, which techniques were used, or how its botanical motif draws from the herbarium Frédéric Boucheron assembled as a source of inspiration from nature.
The app tells that story—from materials and techniques to craftsmanship, including the up to 129 hours of work required for certain pieces.
On the tech side
Development of a bespoke application with Amplify, optimised for continuous use on iPads in Boucheron boutiques.
The solution integrates with the existing projection systems to deliver content in a smooth and immersive way.
The application was designed to ensure stability, performance, and ease of use in a demanding retail environment.
Particular attention was paid to long-term operation, compatibility with in-store equipment, and a seamless experience without interrupting the customer journey.
